I started my day with a good breakfast waiting for the chaitanya students to come over, however i was pretty worried about the fact that Saachi’s dad wanted to take us out earlier than the actual time planned. I wasn’t playing a huge role for the day and so i got excused. With a milk glass in my hand i went over to the gate with saachi to welcome the cute ones that were practically my size. It was either i’m actually too small or the kids were big in size 😦
Ubbay and Laya were already there leading the kids to the stairs opposite the odeum according to their team colours and their spirit and enthusiasm made me feel good too. They cheered for their team on the way and i cheered with them. It was good. We started the event with some briefing and then went to our stations. I was in the rest station, where the kids just come to relax, talk, dance and do whatever that makes them feel comfortable. And of course, we needed music for that ! i was in charge of the music but i’m a gujurati so playing tamil songs was a bit of a challenge for me and so the staff took over. However, while i was still playing Lungi dance and a new song that is now my favourite, Vachinde, the kids enjoyed and loved it. The music made my bones move and i started dancing with the kids and that was probably my most favourite!! I went off for sometime and when i got back i see saachi teaching the little ones how to dab and they’re waaayyy too good at it. I didn’t want to leave so soon, the music, the dancing, the kids made me want to stay more and enjoy with them.
I did this last year as well, but last year was more of helping to get glasses and helping out in talking and interacting with the kids, this time i was mainly involved in the dancing and music. Overall, i had fun both years in helping since i got to experience two different things, I enjoyed all parts of the event that i was there for and look forward to it next year as well ☺
