As a part of the floodlight tournament that was conducted on 2nd December, the boarders participated in a volleyball match. Whereby, the four boarding houses challenged themselves in a friendly competition. There were three or four participants from each teams, and some members of other teams took places if a team lacked a member (after all, we all are one CIS boarding family).
Ms. Coleen’s unprejudiced referring gave a professional format to the match. Ms. Browne kept on reminding us of the scores and maintained the scoring chart. We all started with a toss, the toss-winners were given the freedom to choose to serve first. The competitive glances and the smiling countenance indeed promised a tough match from the teams. The upbeat music boomed, firing the vitality of our extraordinarily competent players. Each pair of teams competed thrice against each other. Each set was restricted to ten points. The two winning teams then competed against each other for the first position and the other two teams for the third positions. Though the match wrapped up with one team winning, but not one person could deny that in the true sense all the participants had had a paramount of fun and that was the main aim of this tournament, therefore each player was a winner. The breathless and famished players then dashed towards the delicious feast of pizzas and momos. Indeed another perfect weekend evening at our very own CIS Boarding family!! Swati Biswas. (IB1)
