On Friday 12th May the Boarding Planning Club organized a ‘Camp Night’.
The idea was to have fun together in a different setting. It started with a treasure hunt were 5 teams picked out of a hat, ran around the school looking for clues to the next station. This was followed by a bonfire next to the pool. A BBQ Dinner ensued ending with marshmallow on sticks dipped in chocolate sauce. Then, it was a movie in the drama room (Jurrassic Park) and then, finally the all awaited camping on the field. It all started at 6:15 pm and finished at about 2 am. Here are a few accounts from the participants: Camp night in boarding was a very unique experience, camping out on the field with friends and taking part in the different activities was fun and an enjoyable experience. The different events of the evening moved along smoothly, with my favorite event of the night being the movie. The movie choice was a classic, Jurassic Park and watching it with my friends in a chill environment was the highlight of the evening. The bonfire and the actual camping itself were close seconds to the movie, although we could have done with fewer mosquitos for company during the course of the night! - Sareth The Night Camp that boarding held for the first time this year was pretty successful in my point of view, as there were many great activities. The highlights of the day were the bonfire that we had. Afterwards, we had dinner, and I enjoyed it too. We even roasted marshmallows on the bonfire that was lit up, and all that was very overwhelming in a good way. We watched the movie, 'Jurassic Park' after the whole dinner and bonfire, which was an overall great experience because of the set up and the location it was held in, that is Odeum 2. There was so much of excitement in the room, and the movie quality was amazing, so was the sound. What did not go well however, was the treasure hunt that was less of a hunt by the whole group, but more of chasing after the team leader who was far ahead of the rest of us. I fell down twice because of the rain, and though this happened, the whole night camp idea has been a success, I feel. Prerna Nanwani Camp night was a new experience that was extremely interesting and fun. My favourite part was the movie night part. During that time we all sat in the drama room on mattresses and we got our pillows and blankets and watched the Jurassic park movie. It was nice to just sit with our friends and watch the movie. One part that I felt could have been improved could have been the treasure hunt as that could have been a little bit tougher since everyone cracked the codes so early. Over all, it was an amazing & unforgettable night that I would love to have again. Ryka Camp night was an interesting and fun experience for me. It was exciting as this was the first time the boarders got a chance to camp out with their friends. My favorite part of the night was the hang out sessions after the movie. Some of us were playing cards, playing football and some were even stargazing. It was a chilled out scene on the field where all of us were bonding and having fun. It was nice to forget about all our exams and assignments for one night and just to hangout with friends. The part I felt that could've improved was the tents. Some of them were not in a good condition. But overall the experience was great and I had a lot of fun. Srilaya.
